| Housed in the former Presidential Palace, this museum is Cuba's most complete exhibition on the Revolution, with maps, weaponry, personal articles, photographs, the Granma, tanks, and warplanes. A must-see.
Se comenzó a construir como sede del gobierno de la provincia pero fue tanto su magnitud y gastos que se destinó al gobierno de la nación, quedando inaugurado en 1920. Fue asaltado el 13 de marzo de 1957 por el Directorio Estudiantil Universitario con el objetivo de ajusticiar al tirano Fulgencio Batista, el cual logro escapar y se desató una mayor represión contra la población. Actualmente como museo, la exposición que alberga está dividida en tres etapas cronológicas:
El Periodo colonial, la Seudorepública y la Revolución

| El centro de atracción es el Yate Granma, de casi 20 de eslora y 3,6 mts de manga con el cual desembarcaron el 2 de diciembre de 1956, 82 revolucionarios al mando de Fidel en la antigua provincia de Oriente. Aquí también se encuentra el camión utilizado por los estudiantes durante el asalto a Palacio. Además aparecen trofeos, armas, aviones, los cuales jugaron un papel importante durante la lucha de nuestro pueblo.
